Construction sites are often an attractive target for vandals, scrap merchants and opportunistic thieves. It is common for construction sites to suffer some kind of damage at various stages of a project; this can be anything from graffiti and vandalism to the theft of expensive equipment.

Such incidents can potentially set your project back months, depending on their severity. In some cases, insurance companies will refuse to insure construction sites without any evidence of security measures in place.

We can also incorporate regular perimeter patrols, incident reporting, alarm monitoring and more.

Prior to the start of the project, we will carry out site surveys and liaise with your site management team. This will allow us to identify any potential risks, establish which areas of the site are likely to be targeted by criminals, and form a strategy to reduce these risks and make the site as secure as possible.

Our SIA licenced security officers are all highly experienced in many aspects of security and can offer a professional and comprehensive service to keep your site safe. We understand that collaborative working on-site is the best method to ensure the safety of workers and equipment – our staff want to work with you to keep your assets secure.

Upon Arrival

Site security officers will sign in and report directly to the site management team.

Any special requirements are discussed, particularly the holding of keys or any out of hours access by members of staff or deliveries.

A walk around patrol is conducted alongside the site manager to determine any changes in materials, perimeter boundaries or vehicle positioning.

A handover signature is taken from the site management to confirm the handover of the site to the security team.

Security Patrols

Regular site patrols are conducted at specified intervals.

Our staff will patrol the whole of the site where accessible; inspecting windows, doors, gates and internal/external boundaries for any sign of damage or attempts to access the site.

Construction plant machinery is checked and recorded.

Any damage, unsecured windows or doors are logged and reported.

All vehicles on site at the start of the shift will be logged and any movement during the shift will also be reported on.

On Leaving

All fences, doors, gates and windows are inspected.

Site keys are handed over to the site management team.

Security officer will ensure the welfare facilities are left clean and tidy.

A final handover signature is taken from the site management team, confirming the site has been handed back over.
